Christopher Maurice Brown, known as Chris Brown, is an American singer, dancer, songwriter, actor, and filmmaker born on May 5, 1989, in Tappahannock, Virginia.

From a young age, Chris Brown was drawn to music, influenced by soul and hip-hop. He taught himself to sing and dance and performed in local choirs.

At 16, he was discovered by producer Tina Davis and signed with Jive Records. His self-titled debut album, released in 2005, was an instant success, particularly with the hit single "Run It".

Chris Brown released a string of successful albums ("Exclusive", "F.A.M.E.", "Fortune") and became one of the most popular stars of his generation. He is known for his singing and dancing abilities, as well as his charismatic R&B image.
