Hamza Al-Farissi, better known as Hamza or Hamza Z (born August 1, 1994, in Laeken, Brussels), is a Belgian rapper, singer, and beatmaker of Moroccan descent. He is one of the figures of the new wave of Belgian rap of the 2010s, alongside artists like Damso and Shay.
Hamza Z grew up in Brussels in a working-class neighborhood. He became interested in music at a young age and started rapping in his teens. He first gained recognition on the internet by releasing freestyles and mixtapes.
