Biography

Hornet La Frappe, whose real name is Mounir Ben Chettouh, was born on 5 December 1991 in Argenteuil in the Val-d'Oise. He grew up in the Orgemont neighbourhood of Épinay-sur-Seine in Seine-Saint-Denis. Attracted to rap music as a teenager, he began writing his first lyrics.

In 2012, he signed with Busta Flex's TXT Productions label and released his debut EP ‘Réussir ou Mounir’ two years later. He made a name for himself with his hard-hitting style and introspective lyrics.

In 2015, he founded his own label, Diez Peufra, and released his debut album ‘Chef d'orchestre’. The success was there for all to see, and Hornet La Frappe established himself as one of the rising figures in French rap.

The following albums, ‘Brut’ (2017) and ‘Terrain’ (2018), confirmed his talent and popularity. He has collaborated with many artists, including Ninho, Booba and Damso.

Hornet La Frappe is renowned for his unique flow, sharp punchlines and poetic pen. He's also a talented producer, playing an active role in the creation of his instrumentals.
