Franglish

Biography

Of Congolese and Togolese origin, Franglish was born in the twentieth arrondissement of Paris. He grew up listening to RnB and American hip-hop, notably by artists such as Tyga and Bow Wow, and soon set his sights on a career in rap. Initially active within the Brownie Dubz Gang collective, he adopted the stage name Franglish and unveiled his first freestyles while working with BFBC, a group of rappers from Montfermeil. His writing found an audience, and he decided to release a series of mixtapes: Franglish Prototype came out in 2013, followed by Changement d'ambiance in 2015 and Signature in 2017.

It wasn't until 2019 that the artist, who has collaborated with the likes of Dadju & Vegedream, Driks & Abou Debeing, Keblack, Alonzo and Vitaa, released his first proper album, Monsieur. The following year, Franglish returned to the front with a new project: a seven-track EP called Mood, featuring the track "Biberon", with contributions from Tiakola and Leto, and "My Salsa", featuring Tory Lanez.
