Gazo
Biographie
Born Ibrahima Diakité on 5 August 1994 in Châteauroux, Gazo had a difficult childhood. As an adolescent, Gazo developed a passion for urban music and trap. While still at school in CM2, he tried his hand at writing his first lyrics. In the mid-2010s, he landed a number of prestigious collaborations. In 2017, he appeared alongside the group 4Keus Gang, then on compilations featuring rappers Leto and Guy2Bezbar, among others.
In 2019, this time under the pseudonym Gazo, he launched into the world of drill. This musical style comes straight from Jamaica and describes the difficulties of underprivileged neighbourhoods through dance tracks.
With the release of "Haine & Sex", Gazo got his first viral track on social networks. Popular on TikTok, the single further raised the singer's profile in France and internationally.
In the spring of 2022, Gazo announced the release of his second mixtape, entitled "KMT". Within 24 hours of its release, the project recorded just over 4 million streams on Spotify, making it one of the best-selling singles of the year. In the autumn of the same year, "KMT" passed the 200 million listener mark.
