Biography
Hiro, whose real name is Dimitri Nganda, is a singer, songwriter and performer of Congolese origin, born on 14 July 1991 in Melun, France. Nicknamed the ‘African phenomenon’, he is one of the rising stars of French-language urban music.
Immersed in music from an early age by his parents, Hiro quickly developed a passion for rap and song. Inspired by African music legends such as Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide, he began writing his own lyrics and singing in his teens.
In 2007, he founded the group Bana C4 with his friends. The group made a name for itself on the local scene and released its first single ‘Charabia’ in 2011.
In 2016, Hiro decided to go solo and released his first single ‘Aveuglé’. His musical style, blending rap, Afro and pop, quickly won over the public. His debut album ‘De la haine à l'amour’ came out in 2017 and was a huge success, thanks in particular to the track ‘Pourquoi chérie’, which was certified gold in 2018.
In 2019, he released his second album ‘Erratum’, confirming his status as a key artist on the African music scene. His music, imbued with positivity and love, and his committed lyrics make him a spokesperson for African youth.
