Biographie
Marcel Junior Loutarila, known by his stage name Koba LaD, is a French rapper of Congolese origin, born on April 3, 2000, in Saint-Denis. He grew up in Évry, in the Parc aux Lièvres neighborhood, an environment that deeply influences his lyrics.
Inspired by artists such as Booba, Rohff, and 113, Koba LaD began rapping in his teenage years. In 2017, he gained recognition with the single "Suicide" featuring Ninho. His debut studio album, "Seul contre tous," was released in 2018 and met with great success, driven by hits like "Train de vie," "Four," and "Daddy Issues."
Koba LaD's musical style is characterized by dark and introspective lyrics, often autobiographical. He addresses themes such as violence, poverty, drugs, and loss. His music is also marked by melodic influences and sung choruses.
Koba LaD is considered one of the most promising rappers of his generation. He has received several awards, including the Best Male Newcomer award at the Victoires de la Musique in 2019.
