Biography

Soolking, whose real name is Abderraouf Derradji, is an Algerian rapper and singer born on 10 December 1989. With a passion for music from an early age, he began his career in a local rap group, Africa Jungle, before moving to France in 2008.

Soolking stands out for its ability to fuse different musical genres, notably raï, reggae and rap, creating a unique style.

His first notable success came with the single ‘Guerilla’ in 2018, which quickly went viral and racked up millions of views on YouTube. The same year, he released his debut album, ‘Fruit du démon’, which propelled him onto the international scene.

The album contained hits such as ‘Zemer’ and ‘Dalida’, consolidating his reputation in the music world.

Soolking is also renowned for his collaborations with a number of French and international artists, including Maitre Gims, Dadju and Lacrim. His music, which is often marked by social and personal themes, has enabled him to reach a wide audience and become one of the leading figures on the contemporary Algerian music scene.
